Sadie and her friend, Louis, are looking for an extra special family. They came to Animal Aid when their guardian became too ill to care for them. Both were born in 2000 and have been together their entire lives so we don't want to split them up and send them to different homes. But we know it will be harder to find a family who will adopt them as a pair. Even though they don’t cuddle together, they give each other comfort, especially with all the changes they have been going through. Their complementary personalities -- Louis, the outgoing, fun loving guy; and Sadie, the snuggly, sensitive girl -- make for a perfect pair. Louis has been blind in one eye since birth. It doesn’t cause him any problems, though it’s best to reach towards him from his sighted side so he sees your hand coming and doesn’t get startled. His blind eye doesn’t slow him down at all, but it’s one more obstacle to finding a family when most people are looking for perfect, young cats. Sadie has a genuine sweetness about her. When you sit on the floor near her, she will come over to be with you. She loves attention and will brush up against you and roll on her side exposing her soft white tummy. After she knows you better, she will give you little kitty kisses to say thank you for petting her. Sadie is a wide-bodied girl who loves treats, comfortable beds, and sleeping in a ray of sunshine. Her mellow personality is a perfect match for Louis. She is cuddly, calm and sensitive and will be your caring friend and companion. We’re asking for a lot from an adopter. But Louis and Sadie will give you all the love they have. They’ll know that you rescued them from a shelter so they can enjoy their senior years together in a loving home. Sadie is a medium-size female whose estimated birth year is 2000. She is adoptable, and is currently living with a foster family. You can meet her by submitting an adoption application and then arranging an appointment through our office – call 503-292-6628 option 3. Like all of our pets, Sadie is current on all vaccinations, has been treated for parasites, and will be microchipped and spayed before going home with the adoptive family. Please note: due to our screening preference to view the potential home and interview the prospective guardian, we rarely adopt out of our local Portland metro area and we never ship. | ||
