Hello. My name is Amy. I was originally adopted from Animal Aid many years ago, but my owners decided to return me. They said I didn’t fit in with their lifestyle anymore. I’m not sure what that means, but it can’t be good or I wouldn’t be here. I’m the same kitty I’ve always been, just a little older. So here I am waiting for a new family. What can I tell you about myself. Well, I’m a gentle cat – there's not a mean bone in my body. I’m very feminine and when I purr, you have to hold your ear next to my body to hear it. But that’s ok because I like being held and cuddled. I live in the office area of the shelter and I like the extra attention I get there. I’m curious and watch everything that’s going on. Sometimes I walk around meowing, just in case someone wants to pet me. I know my name and will even come when you call me! If you’re busy and don’t notice me, I will wave at you with one paw to say Hi. I’ve been told I’m pretty and that my best feature is my eyes – they are very green and soulful. I just got a bath and had my mats brushed out, so I’m looking good! I was born in 1998 and have been declawed. Do you think I would fit into your lifestyle? Amy is a medium-size female whose estimated birth year is 1998. She is adoptable, and is currently living with a foster family. You can meet her by submitting an adoption application and then arranging an appointment through our office – call 503-292-6628 option 3. Like all of our pets, Amy is current on all vaccinations, has been treated for parasites, and will be microchipped and spayed before going home with the adoptive family. Please note: due to our screening preference to view the potential home and interview the prospective guardian, we rarely adopt out of our local Portland metro area and we never ship. | ||
