| We’ve been watching Corky as a foster family for the last several months. As foster family volunteers for Animal Aid, we find ourselves caring for a new cat or dog every few months while the search for permanent family is conducted. The following is a description of Corky that we hope will enable you to appreciate him as much as we do and provide him a forever home. Corky is a mellow boy looking for a lap to sit on and hands to stroke his very soft fur. He loves to be with people. Since he’s ten years old, he isn’t going to tear up any furniture and is completely house broken. His hunting instinct is still there, but he doesn’t like to demean himself by sinking to the level of chasing inanimate objects very often. He loves to be petted anytime, anywhere. If you’re looking for a cat that will curl up in your lap and be the most loving companion in the world, this is the cat for you. He particularly likes his chin rubbed and loves to purr when he’s being petted…or even if he’s just sitting near you! If you’re looking for a mellow cat to provide companionship and never ending contentment with your company and love, Corky is the right man for the job. He isn’t a needy cat and is completely content to be by himself. But when you’re near, you’ll find him purring with happiness. He loves to sit on your lap while you watch TV, lie in bed or sit in a chair. In fact, he loves to sit near you when you do almost anything; as long as it isn’t driving in a car! Once he’s home with you, he’ll purr when you just look at him from across the room!
He’s not a huge fan of dogs, but he adjusts just fine; especially to smaller breeds. Corky is one of the friendliest cats you’ll find. A terrific low maintenance companion that makes you feel better about yourself. And did I mention his orange fur is really soft?
