  • About Dot

Hi, my name is Dot. I’m a shy gal. I came all the way from mean streets of Los Angeles where I was living outside an apartment complex with a bunch of other cats. It was kind of scary life in some ways and someone threatened to poison me and my friends. I got a ride up here to Animal Aid and I’m very thankful for my good meals and gentle care.

It takes me a long time to trust people and I’m just at the point of allowing people to touch me while I’m eating.  I do love play time either with a human or on my own. For now it’s not possible to pick me up or pet me unless I’m in my safe covered bed. However, I adore other cats and seek them out for comfort if they will give it. So I’m kind of a work in progress or project cat. Do you have time and a lot of patience to give me to help me feel safe? Do you have another cat who just needs a buddy but don’t care if it takes me months to a year to warm up to you?  I really do need to go to a home with another cat who needs a buddy.

    My estimated birthdate is 10/1/2015.

*All cats at Animal Aid have been spayed/neutered, tested negative for FIV and Felv, microchipped, and are up to date on core vaccines.
