  • About Sasha

    Nickname: The Sweetheart

The Basics: I’m 8 years old and weigh 62 pounds (…and counting. My foster parents are currently helping me to gain some weight!).

Likes: I love playing tug-o-war with my toys, going for car rides and long walks (I have excellent leash manners!), and following my special person around the house.

Dislikes: Other dogs: I’m curious about them, but in truth, I’d rather keep my distance. Playing fetch: I’m a stroller, not a sprinter.

Looking for: A loving, gentle home with adults and children 10 and older that I can trust. In my previous home, I was crated for much of the day, and I’m long overdue for the chance to stretch my legs and some extra TLC. I have some fur loss, which may be food allergy-related or could just be from chronic stress in my previous homes. Because of my past, it can take me a little while to get to know you and feel comfortable with you, but once I do, you’ll never meet a more loyal best friend. In my foster home, I am very good about not jumping on the furniture, and I know how to wait patiently in my spot while my family fills my food bowl. I do need help getting in and out of the car, and long term, I may do best in a one-story house or a home with minimal stairs.

Special needs: I have just started having some hip problems (like a typical German Shepard) so I’ve been on some medicine to keep me limber.  It’s just a pill a day and I eat it easily in a piece of hot dog! I also eat a hypoallergenic food which is helping with my skin.

I’m in a foster home so please fill out an adoption application if you would like to meet me!

Here’s a video of me on KGW News on 12/13/18:
